Full Time 37.5 hrs per week
Salary- £24,049 - £30,864 per annum inc HCAA Job Ref No- 258-TA-036-10
The team has recently gone through a restructure which provides the basis of a clearly defined career pathway for conscientious and innovative coder.
The trust is moving towards a reduction in the use of paper notes in the longer term so experience of using electronic packages is required. The coder will also be integral to the business processes of the trust and will be liaising with clinicians and managers when necessary.
This is an excellent position for enthusiastic and career minded individual who wish to pursue a career in the NHS.
Job Summary
The post holder will report to the Team Leader Clinical Coding Manager they will be responsible for-
Delivery of accurate and timely coding of patients records
Assist in the development of electronic coding
Represent the coding function at business meetings
Working towards the ACC qualification.
Mentoring Junior Colleagues
We are looking for an experienced clinical coder who can contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team and assist in the progression to electronic coding. Communication skills will be important as well as the ability to present data in a meaningful way.
The post holder will be supported in the objective of qualified coders and will be able to plan and organise their area of work in conjunction with the team co-ordinator.
The post holder would be required to liaise with clinical staff on a regular basis and be able to implement processes to ensure that the coding team become more integrated in clinical discussions/forums.
