Job Description:
The International Business Development Group is a dynamic arm of Blackbaud's International Business Unit (IBU) focused on developing new markets and driving the growth and reach of our international operations. We are seeking a business development professional with extensive experience driving client, solution, and global account strategies. The Global Account Manager is responsible for increasing revenue by effectively managing the Blackbaud relationship with a client, and for serving as the client's strategic advisor to promote Blackbaud solutions globally. This position will report directly to the VP of International Business Development.
The Global Account Manager will:
Be the primary point of contact for strategic global accounts and the most senior executive on the team; responsible for orchestrating complex sales activities collaboratively across multiple account managers / organizations / functions /regions.
Manage global clients to achieve additional bookings/revenue streams and ensure a long standing partnership with portfolio of accounts.
Add credibility based on subject matter expertise of the industry and Blackbaud solution set
Collaborate with regional account executives on tactical opportunities and ensure client direction fits within strategic plan
Leverage key account relationships and drive partnership strategy to create a global value proposition
Experience and Skills:
The successful Global Account Manager will have high analytical and conceptual abilities that enable them to recognize and define customer issues. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of navigating multiple levels of the customer organization to build commitment that leads to action.
4 + years of business development experience in international markets
4 + years of experience working in a sales overlay capacity, coordinating internal activity across multiple groups within an organization
4 + years working for an enterprise application software/services company
History of consistently exceeding bookings/revenue targets
Proven international marketplace relationship building skills (influencers, pivotal customers etc.)
Bachelors Degree required, Masters strongly preferred
Strong organization, presentation and public speaking skills
Ability to travel internationally
Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both oral and written)
Referenced collaborative, approachable and collegial operational approach
