Role: IT Project Manager

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000

Location: Hertfordshire

A leading defence organisation is looking for an IT Back Office Desk Top Project Manager to Project Manage BO Desktop technical projects / implementations and their transition into an operational support model

Responsibilities for this role will include:· Manage and own the end-to-end project lifecycle from instigation to operational handover

· Manage project organization consisting of company resources and 3rd Parties

· To manage 3RD Party suppliers and delivery of project activity across Back office

· Review and Approval of Project Documentation

· Manages change management processes and recording within Projects to company standards

· Reviews and monitors Actuals against forecast (Budget Management) within Projects, reporting as directed and at least on a monthly basis to company standards

· Resolves issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to project delivery, reporting and advising management as required

· Manages business communications specific to project delivery

· Deploys assets in scope of identified projects and ensure asset registers have been updated, including both hardware and software registers

· Regular communication with the UK InfoSec manager to ensure projects company with all security needs

· Ensure appropriate maintenance and support has been arranged within the domain budgets, identifying recurring costs for the running of new services

· Ensures five year plans are updated to reflect changes to domain budgets

For this role the successful candidate will require a detailed knowledge of MS XP environment and be able to explain and discuss client image management within a secure desktop. You will have prior experience of IT security technologies and edge devices with an ability to demonstrate good analytical approaches and solutions delivery for potential or actual security problems.
