Environmental Advisor

Reporting to the SHEQ Manager you will lead a small team with the responsibilities in:Advise and communicate with the SHEQ team, Project Teams and Senior Management on all environmental aspects and impacts. Maintain the companies environmental management system (EMS) to comply with company and contract requirements/legislation Liaise with third parties as necessary including local authorities and EA in making sure 61 Consent is in place Monitor, review and audit compliance with EMS plans Provide regular environmental data for environmental KPI’s Ensure that all environmental incidents are investigated & reported in accordance with company procedures and customer statutory requirements Ideally you will come from a rail background as an Environmental Advisor and hold a degree or equivalent in an environmental discipline combined with a membership of IEMA. You will also have a strong understanding and hands on experience with maintaining an EMS system but ideally hold a qualification as a lead assessor in ISO 14001.
